Account → Settings

Edit your profile information, change your password, set your data residency region, and configure notification preferences.

The Settings page is where you edit personal information about your account. It lives under Account → Settings.

What you can change

Name and avatar

Namestring

Displayed in the app header, on team member lists, and in invite emails. Change any time.

Avatarimage upload

A small square image shown in the header and team lists. Uploaded to region-specific S3. Stored as a thumbnail (<200KB); larger uploads are auto-resized.

Email

Emailemail

Your sign-in email and notification address. Changing it triggers a verification email to the new address — the change doesn't apply until you click the verification link.

Password

Required to change password, for security.

New passwordpassword

At least 8 characters. The app enforces common-password rejection; strong passwords are encouraged.

If you signed up with Google, the password section is replaced with a "Signed in with Google" indicator — you manage the account via Google's sign-in security, not here.

Data residency region

RegionUS | EU | UK

The region where your uploaded files and match results are stored. See Data residency and regions for what each region covers. Defaults to the nearest region based on your billing address on first signup.

Changing region is rare

Changing region triggers a migration of all your existing data to the new region's buckets — this can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours depending on data size, and storage in the old region is deleted after migration completes. Only change if you have a specific compliance reason.

Notification preferences

Per-notification-type toggles for:

  • Match job completed — email when a match finishes processing
  • Review queue summary — weekly digest of pending review cases
  • Shared link activity — when someone opens or asks a question on your shared reports
  • Product updates — major releases and new features (monthly at most)
  • Security alerts — password changes, unusual sign-in locations (always on, cannot disable)

What you cannot change from here

  • Subscription/plan — lives in Billing
  • Team members — on the Team page for Business accounts
  • Billing address — in the Stripe portal (accessible via Billing)
  • Account deletion — not from this page. Contact support for full account deletion (we have to orchestrate data purge per GDPR).

Deleting your account

To fully delete your account, email support from the address on the account with "Delete account" in the subject. We respond within 5 business days with a confirmation link. Clicking the link permanently deletes:

  • All your files (source and master)
  • All your match jobs and results
  • All your reports and shared links
  • All AI conversations
  • Your user record and profile

Per GDPR, deletion is final after a 30-day grace period (we retain encrypted backups during that time for legal holds; after 30 days they are cryptographically erased). See GDPR for the full process.
